2023 Gold Award, Society of American Travel Writers, Western Chapter, for Blogging.

2020 Lowell Thomas Journalism Award, Silver, for the “Los Angeles Times” essay, June 2109, for the 75th anniversary of D-Day.

The prestigious Lowell Thomas awards celebrate excellence in travel journalism. The awards are open to travel journalists and communicators from around the world and are considered one of the premier professional awards programs. 


2020 Bronze Award, Society of American Travel Writers, Western Chapter, for a “France Today” magazine photo essay, for the 75th anniversary of D-Day, June 2019.


2020 WILLA Award, Finalist, for “Beautiful Courage, A Young Woman’s Journey West, 1852,” her debut Young Adult novel. 

The WILLA Literary Awards, named in honor of Pulitzer Prize winning novelist Willa Cather, recognizes the best in literature, featuring women’s or girls’ stories set in the North American West that are published each year. Women Writing the West (WWW), underwrites and presents the nationally recognized award.
